Our FAVORITE dessert!
If you are like my family then you will love these HEALTHY Chocolate Chip Bars! I mean who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies!!
The best thing about this recipe is that every ingredient is completely GUILT free! So let me share with you how to whip up a batch of these bars!
Chocolate chip banana bars
3 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon baking powder
.5 cups pumpkin canned
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup almond milk unsweetened
1 teaspoon vanilla or maple extract
1 large egg
2 very ripe bananas
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
30 grams dried dates
.5 dark chocolate bar 70%
Take the oats, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and blend in a grinder to make oat flour. Or buy oat flour. Put in a bowl and set aside.
In a glass dish but in natural peanut butter and rip bananas. Mush together. I usually have to microwave it to soften the bananas. Mix maple syrup in.
Now mix the two mixtures, pumpkin, the egg, almond milk and vanilla or maple extract. I always use maple!! Once mixed pour in dates.
Chop up choclate or use pure chocolate chips and mix all together.
Spray a 8x8 dish and smooth out cookie doe in dish.
Bake on 350 until it's just slightly soft when you tough the top. We like the cookie bars soft verses a crunchy cookie.
Cut into 12 servings so you only eat 1 portion!!
